Saylor Speaks to Sport Psychology Class

Drew Saylor, manager of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Los Angeles Dodgers), recently spoke to Dr. Curt Ickes’ Sport Psychology class. He discussed the role the mental game plays in the peak performance of professional baseball players and how this type of training takes place throughout the minor leagues. Drew grew up in Wadsworth and played at Kent State University before being drafted by the Marlins. He later played for the Lake Erie Crushers where Dr. Ickes was the Player Development Specialist. Following his tenure at the Crushers, Coach Saylor went on to manage in the Colorado Rockies system before being hired by the Dodgers in 2015.
