AU Theatre Department: Learn More About Playwright Lindsay Joy

Lindsay Joy has been selected as the playwright for the Farm Theatre College Collaboration project, which Ashland University Theatre is participating. She is writing an original work that will be produced at AU as the second production of its 2014-2015 season.  As an emerging playwright, it is important to learn more about Ms. Joy as we wait with great anticipation for her new work.  Link to a recent interview with her HERE.

English Major Wins Prize for Best Honors Capstone Project

English major Naomi Eberly's Honors Capstone Project, “Manning the Empire: The Pedagogical Function of Sherlock Holmes and Phileas Fogg in the Late Victorian Period," was recognized at the Honors Program Cording Ceremony with the Howard O. Rowe Scholarship for best Honors Capstone project.  According to Dr. Chris Swanson, Director of the Honors Program, "The award is given to the student whose Honors Capstone Project is considered to be the best among his or her peers."  MORE

Shout out to AU Art Alum Matt Stake and Liz Patrick

Matt was featured in a story in the Ashland Times-Gazette on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 and Liz Patrick was awarded the Jamie Phillips Grant in Aid for First Year Teachers in Guilford County by the Office of Induction and Success.  The grant is awarded by the Beta Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.

Journalism & Digital Media: Seniors Attain Dream Jobs

JDM Seniors Rebecca Ribley and Elizabeth Bucheit are being recognized for scoring fantastic post-graduation jobs.  Ribley was hired as a reporter at the ABC Affiliate in Wausau,
Wisconsin (WAOW), and Bucheit will start her position as a Production Assistant at ESPN (ESPN.go.com) in July. Both credit their JDM education for putting them in a position to obtain
