Summer Reading & Craft Seminar Series Begins 7/23

The annual Summer Reading & Craft Seminar Series begins Tuesday, July 23 at 1:30 p.m. in Room 105 of the Dauch College of Business and Economics with a craft seminar by Michael Spurgeon. Call for Artists: The Art of Healing

Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery seeks works that embody the art of healing for the exhibition entitled COMPASSION: The Art of Healing. The theme of the exhibition focuses on the humanitarian nature of the healing process as seen through the arts. Health care professionals and caregivers have played an integral part in the healing process throughout history and this exhibition hopes to highlight these contributions and also the process of patient restoration and wellness.

The exhibition will run from October 11- November 13, 2019 and the deadline for entries is August 2, 2019.

Alumna Tyler Remmel Joins Washington Post

Congratulations to Journalism & Digital Media alumna Tyler Remmel who is joining the Washington Post as a designer. As reported by WashPostPR:

"...he has been the A1 designer for the Detroit Free Press. In that role, he has been integral in planning and live coverage for a wide range of news, including Aretha Franklin’s death and funeral, the Larry Nassar trial as well as several major sporting events. Ashland Poetry Press Publishes New Book

The first new and selected edition to be published at Ashland Poetry Press for many years, A. V. Christie’s More Here Than Light includes poems from five previous collections as well as new work written before her death.
