The Ashland University College Republicans are hosting a series of events on the importance of state and local governments at a time when the focus is on the presidency. The first speaker will be Matt Miller, a former political science major and Ashbrook Scholar who has held several offices in county government and is now running for mayor of Ashland. He will speak on the importance of local government on Thursday, March 16 from 7-8 p.m. in the Student Center Auditorium.
