Prof. Jeff Sikkenga is spending his sabbatical this year in
California. Along with visiting historical sites such as Lincoln's home
in Springfield, Illinois (see photo) and Mark Twain's hometown of
Hannibal, Missouri, he is working on a book on John Locke's A Letter Concerning Toleration and finishing a revised second edition of History of American Political Thought. In the fall, he was a visiting scholar at
the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, and is a
visiting professor at Pepperdine University's School of Public Policy in
Malibu this spring.
